Smart Agricultural Irrigation System Solution

Smart Agricultural Irrigation System Solution

Construction Background

01farmland

Water‑saving irrigation is critical for agricultural development. Water scarcity has become a major bottleneck restricting sustainable economic development across the globe. Agricultural water consumption accounts for approximately 80% of total water usage worldwide. However, low irrigation efficiency leads to severe water‑resource waste. Optimizing agricultural irrigation can cut energy and operating costs, boost agricultural productivity and product quality, and protect the ecological environment.

Based on the above‑mentioned background, we has developed a smart agricultural irrigation system leveraging IoT technology, automatic control technology, computer technology and wireless communication technology.

Industry Challenges

02Manual irrigation

Manual irrigation: Heavy manual work for field water delivery, low operating efficiency.

02Manual irrigation

02Manual irrigation

Manual data logging: Manual on‑site recording of farmland environmental data, time‑consuming and prone to human error.

Delayed environmental monitoring: Cannot capture real‑time changes of farmland growing conditions.

Undetected equipment failures: Irrigation device faults cannot be found in a timely manner, affecting normal irrigation work.

Water resource waste: Blind irrigation leads to excessive water consumption and low water‑use efficiency.

System Introduction

The smart agricultural irrigation system conducts real‑time monitoring of farmland parameters including ambient temperature, humidity, light intensity and soil moisture. It analyzes sensor data to realize intelligent irrigation management.

Application Advantages

  1. Intelligent Irrigation Free from fixed timing and fixed‑volume constraints. Water supply is triggered on‑demand with flexible irrigation mode switching. It fits diverse scenarios including greenhouses, terraced orchards, flower‑vegetable plantations, large‑scale farmland and landscape greening.
  2. Water and Fertilizer Saving Real‑time data is collected by online sensors. Sprinkler and drip irrigation deliver water directly to crop root zones. While meeting crop water demand, the system can reduce water consumption by more than 50%.
  3. Labor Reduction The intelligent irrigation control system eliminates manual valve and water‑pump operation. One operator can manage irrigation for hundreds or even thousands of acres of farmland, cutting labor input by over 90%.

System Topology

The system adopts layered architecture: end‑sensors collect on‑site agricultural environment data; data is transmitted via gateway through 5G/4G/Ethernet to the smart agriculture cloud platform. Users access the platform via APP, PC terminal or large data screen. Remote automatic / manual control is realized for field valve controllers.
